Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town fell to their fourth defeat of the Absa Premiership season when they were demolished 5-1 at Cape Town Stadium, thanks to four goals by Aubrey Ngoma.
For the hosts there was one change to the side which lost against Orlando Pirates in midweek with Maarten Stekelenburg opting to bring in Lebogang Manyama on the left in place of Paul Rusike.
Following a cagey opening minutes to the game Mame Niang took the first shot at goal, 15 minutes in, when he rose above the towering Matthew Booth to head at goal, but Sander Westeveld saved well.
Koen van de Laak went close before an unmarked Manyama half-volleyed the opening goal into the back of the net following good work by Khama Billiat.
Then Tuks drew level when Aubrey Ngoma struck a high ball which flew over Westerveld to hit the top right corner of the goals, three minutes from the break.
Ajax came out of the break in positive fashion when they nearly took the lead again when Biliiat’s low shot angled past the far post 48 minutes in.
Then Tuks took the lead when Mame Niang’s shot rattled the back of the net 74 minutes in.
Then the Urban Warriors found themselves another goal behind when Ngoma struck a brace to make it 3-1 as he headed the ball over Westerveld whose confidence was starting to drop.
The Ajax fans started to get rowdy when they sang ‘You must go’ to the Dutch coach as Tuks managed to make the scroreline 4-1.
Ngoma continued his run in front of goal as he completed his hat-trick with a clip into the bottom right corner three minutes from the full time whistle.
Finally, Ngoma made it five for the visitors after he ran free from the Ajax backline and slotted confidently past Westerveld.
