According to KickOff.com, the club's CEO is tempted to lure two more players before the window shuts but funds are holding the Urban Warriors back from bringing in new blood.

“You’ve got limitations.

"You sometimes have to do transfer deals with players going out that you do not want to,” said Efstathiou.

“But at the end of the day you run a business, and you’ve got to keep your books balanced. We’ve managed petty well, and we must just make sure we don’t put ourselves into trouble.”

Efstathiou confirmed the club wants to sign two players before the end of the transfer period.

Ajax’s next game is at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday, August 26 against Bidwest Wits.

The match is scheduled to start at 19:30.
