Ajax complete Mabaso loan

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have completed the signing of defender Abel Mabaso on a season-long loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 24-year-old has impressed on loan spells at Mpumalanga Black Aces and Maritzburg United over the last two seasons, racking up a total of 54 Premiership appearances.

And Ajax CEO Ari Efstathiou says it was an easy decision for the technical team to bring the defender to the club.

"Abel's enthusiasm and professionalism will without a doubt have a positive impact on the team," he told Ajax Cape Town's website.

"And joining the likes of SA U23 players Abbubaker Mobara and Bafana Bafana defender Rivaldo Coetzee in defence will boost our defensive options."
