Agent: Sox needed game time

Cape Town - Tlou Segolela’s agent, Tim Sukazi, admits he is happy to see his client getting a chance to impress after being utilised during Orlando Pirates' Cup games.

The midfielder was part of the Buccaneers side who dispatched Ajax Cape Town in the Ziwa Mo Telkom Knockout quarter-finals, while he was then handed a start in the last-four, against SuperSport United.

And, although Segolela was unable to help prevent a 2-0 loss to Matsatsantsa, Sukazi believes the game time can give him the boost he needs to become a more regular starter under coach Vladimir Vermezovic.

“Game time is what was crucial for us and I’m pleased that Tlou is getting some minutes to fight for his place in the starting 11,” Sukazi told Soccer Laduma.

“He needs to build on this."

Segolela will now be hoping to get another run out from the off when Pirates resume hostilities against SuperSport in the Premiership after the international break.

Meanwhile, Pirates are up against SuperSport United when the Premiership resumes on Sunday, November 23.

Kick-off is at 15:00.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
