Aces undecided on Spencer

Cape Town - Following his release from Wits at the end of last season, Derrick Spencer is still without a club although he has been training with the PSL rookies, Mpumalanga Black Aces, for some time.

AmaZayoni’s media and communications manager, Gordon Masondo, confirmed to Sport24 that the former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns versatile defender has not yet signed with the Mbombela-based outfit.

“He is still training with the team, which is the latest I know,” said Masondo.

“I don’t know if he will get a contract at the end or not but at the moment he is still with us.

“It’s not my call to make; the decision will be made by the technical team if they think he will add value to our team,” he added.

Aces are currently in ninth spot of the log standings and their next game will be at home against Ajax Cape Town at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
