Aces to spoil SuperSport party?

Cape Town - SuperSport United have bought well this transfer window and Mpumalanga Black Aces will hope they can deter any title hopes the Pretoria club harbours.

Matsatsansta have secured the services of Bongani Khumalo, Dean Furman, Michael Boxall, Jeremy Brockie and Isaka Cernak. This in all have put SuperSport as front runners to lift the PSL crown at the end of the 2015/16 campaign. 

Aces and United will both be targeting a second successive victory at when they meet at Mbombela Stadium.

Aces began their 2015/16 league campaign with a 1-0 win away to Free State Stars on August 8.

AmaZayoni are placed third on the Absa Premiership log with three points from one match.

SuperSport began their 2015/16 league campaign with a 1-0 home win over Orlando Pirates on August 11/12.

Matsatsantsa are placed fifth on the Absa Premiership log with three points from one match.

In head-to-head stats, Aces and SuperSport have met in 20 league matches since 1990.

AmaZayoni have nine wins compared to six for Matsatsantsa, while five matches have been drawn.

Aces have won four of their 10 home matches against United, suffering two defeats in the process.

Last season AmaZayoni claimed a 2-1 away win in the first half of the campaign, but Matsatsantsa took revenge with a 1-0 win in Mpumalanga in the return fixture.

The teams have played to just two draws in their last 10 league matches.

Kick-off is at 18:00 on Saturday, August 22.
