Aces set for Swallows test

Cape Town - Black Aces will look to arrest their PSL slump when they host Moroka Swallows at the Mbombela Stadium.

Aces saw their winless streak in the league extended to eight matches when they were beaten 1-0 at Ajax Cape Town in midweek.

The Mpumalanga side has claimed nine points from 11 home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Orlando Pirates (away), Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United (both home).

AmaZayoni are placed 13th on the Absa Premiership log with 23 points from 22 matches.

Swallows claimed their first league win of 2015 when they defeated Free State Stars 2-1 in midweek.

The Soweto side has claimed 11 points from 10 away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Kaizer Chiefs (home), Chippa United and SuperSport United (both away).

The Birds are placed 15th on the log with 22 points from as many games.

In head-to-head stats, Aces and Swallows have met in 31 league matches since 1985.

The Birds have 12 wins compared to 10 for AmaZayoni, while nine matches have been drawn.

Aces have won six of their 15 home matches against Swallows, suffering three defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, AmaZayoni claimed a thrilling 3-2 away win in Soweto.

Kick-off is at 15:30 on Saturday, March 14.
