Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces players are confused with reports that the club’s premier league status has been sold to Amazulu.
One of the players, who wishes to remain anonymous told Sport24 that he was very shocked when he first heard the reports that the club is in the process of being sold.
“Where do I start, we were all shocked to hear about the reports as our yesterday morning session went very well and nothing had been said to us,” the unnamed player said
“The whole situation has affected us badly and we are waiting for management to tell us all the details as we heard about the sale of the club in the media.”
He said it has been difficult to understand the idea of selling the status of the team as Aces recently brought Muhsin Ertugral and Patrick Mabedi to lead the team in the new season.
With rumours that players might either have to relocate to Durban or drop down to the NFD it is understandable that many are disturbed by the news.
The club has also recently signed Aubrey Ngoma from Orlando Pirates on a three-year deal following a successful loan spell last season, while goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters joined from Maritzburg United after looking to move closer to Johannesburg.
