Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces spokesperson Gordon Masondo insists that there is no mandate handed to current head coach Jacob Sakala following his take over from Clive Barker earlier this month.

Masondo also revealed that Amazayoni’s main objective is to avoid relegation at the end of the 2014/15 ABSA Premiership campaign, as they aim to cause major upsets in top flight football.

“There is no mandate given to coaches at this club.” Masondo told Sport24 in an exclusive interview on Wednesday.

“For now we just want to fight harder so that we can be able to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

“We want to continue playing in the PSL and cause major upsets.

“We are determined to do that, starting with the game against Sundowns on the 8th and 11th of next month.

“We are playing them in the quarter-final of the Nedbank cup and also in the league.

“We believe that it will be possible to beat them twice and we are going all out.” added Masondo.

With six league games remaining, the Mbombela based outfit are occupying the 11th spot on the log.
