Aces played to second successive goalless draw when they were held 0-0 away to Maritzburg United in their last outing.

Clive Barker’s side claimed just one point from a possible nine at home this season even after a hefty influx of new faces to the club during the transfer window.

Their next three league opponents are Moroka Swallows (away), Orlando Pirates (home) and AmaZulu (away).

AmaZayoni occupy 13th position on the Absa Premiership log with six points from as many as six matches.

Ajax kept up their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 home win over Free State Stars in their last outing.

The Cape Town club has claimed five points from a possible nine in away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Kaizer Chiefs, Platinum Stars and SuperSport United (all home).

Roger de Sa’s side are placed second in the league standings with 14 points from six matches.

In head-to-head stats, Aces and Ajax have met in six league matches since 2009/10.

The Urban Warriors have three wins compared to one for AmaZayoni, while two matches have been drawn.

Aces have yet to win at home against Ajax, suffering two defeats in their three matches as hosts.

Last season AmaZayoni took four points off the Cape side, drawing 0-0 at home before claiming a 2-0 win in the away return match.

Kick-off is at 15:00 on Saturday, September 27.
