Aces confirm Mbuyane exit

Mbombela - Black Aces have confirmed the departure of their industrious striker Thulasizwe Mbuyane.

The 31-year-old left the Mbombela based outfit for the National First Division side Royal Eagles.

The “Juju” man joined AmaZayoni from Orlando Pirates early in January after failing to find a regular game time at the Soweto giants.

Aces' PRO Gordon Masondo told Sport24, in an exclusive interview on Wednesday, that the Mamelodi-born player requested the club to release him from his contract following another frustrating spell on the sidelines.

Masondo also hinted that the former Free State Stars winger failed to break into their first team due to tight competition in his position.

Mbuyane made no appearance for Aces so far this season as coach, Clive Barker, has resorted to the partnership of Collins Mbesuma and Tendai Ndoro upfront.

" It is true that (Thulasizwe) Mbuyane has left the club to join Royal Eagles," said Masondo.

"We all know that he joined us last season.

"But he is in desperate need of a regular game time.

"He wants to play but there is a tight competition in his position.

"So, the club saw it suitable to grant him his wishes and release him from his contract," concluded Masondo.
