Aces, Chippa lurk for PSL victory

Cape Town - Chippa United and Mpumalanga Black Aces will both look to bounce back from midweek Absa Premiership defeats when they meet at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Chippa suffered their fourth defeat of the season when they were beaten 2-0 at home by SuperSport United on October 27.

The Eastern Cape side has claimed seven points from four home matches this season.

The Chilli Boys are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from eight matches.

Aces suffered their first defeat of the season when they were beaten 1-0 at Kaizer Chiefs on October 27.

The Mpumalanga side has claimed seven points from four away matches this season.

AmaZayoni are placed third on the Absa Premiership log with 15 points from eight matches.

In head-to-head stats Chippa and Aces have met in just two previous top flight league matches.

Both encounters took place last season, with the teams playing to a 2-2 draw in the Eastern Cape in their first game.

The return fixture on the penultimate day of the season saw the teams draw 1-1 in Mpumalanga.

Kick-off at 20:00 on Friday, October 30.
