A Tuks win on Pirates list

Cape Town - University of Pretoria will chase a hat-trick of Absa Premiership victories when they host Orlando Pirates at Tuks Stadium.

University of Pretoria racked up a second successive win when they defeated Moroka Swallows 3-2 away on Saturday.

The Tshwane side has claimed just three points from their five home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are AmaZulu, Maritzburg United (both away) and Mamelodi Sundowns (home).

AmaTuks are placed 12th on the Absa Premiership log with 12 points from 11 matches.

Pirates recorded their fifth league win of the season when they beat SuperSport United 2-1 away on Sunday.

The Soweto giants have claimed 10 points from their six away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Maritzburg United, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns (all home).

The Buccaneers are placed fourth on the Absa Premiership log with 17 points from 10 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Tuks and Pirates have met in four league matches since 2012/13.

The Buccaneers have two wins, while the Pretoria side has one victory and one match has been drawn.

Tuks have won one and lost one of the two home matches they have had against Pirates.

Last season Bucs won 1-0 in Soweto, while AmaTuks won 1-0 in Pretoria.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, November 26.
