Cape Town - Football fans hope that Orlando Pirates will stick with Eric Tinkler as head coach despite recent rumours of a possible exit.
This was revealed after a 24-hour poll conducted by Sport24.
The Buccaneers returned to South African shores this week following a disappointing defeat to Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel in the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Tinkler's charges took a 1-1 draw to Tunisia for the second-leg but Sahel stood their ground in front of their home crowd as a first-half own goal was enough to see the Red Devils lift the title at the end of 90 minutes.
Immediately rumours started to surface that Tinkler was expected to have an important meeting with the Buccaneers hierarchy.
The coach has since been linked with the vacancy at Maritzburg United, who have parted ways with Clive Barker.
"That's false, I don't know what you talking about," said Tinkler when asked about the Maritzburg reports.
Tinkler added: "Me, I will never quit - I have never been a quitter in my life."
With Tinkler's future still in the air, it remains to be known whether the 45-year-old is still entrusted by Irvin Khoza to take the Buccaneers forward.
Conducted on Sport24's official Twitter account, 66% voted for the club to 'stick with Tinkler' while 34% said 'Tinkler must go'.
Following @Orlando_Pirates disappointing defeat in the CAF Confederation Cup Final, should Eric Tinkler be replaced?
