Cape Town - Five Mamelodi Sundowns stars are in the final year of their current deals at Chloorkop, and are eligible to sign pre-contract agreements elsewhere in January should they not re-sign at the club.
Wayne Sandilands, Hlompho Kekana, Thabo Nthethe, Anthony Laffor and Wayne Arendse have all played an influential role in helping the Brazilians win the 2016 CAF Champions League recently.
However, all five players are now on the wrong side of 30, casting doubts over whether they will be offered contract renewals.
Soccer Laduma are reporting that Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits have an interest in signing Kekana, while the wait goes on to see if he will get a new deal with the Pretoria side.
In addition, Sandilands is also waiting for negotiations to begin with the goalkeeper's agent, Glyn Binkin, telling the same publication: "I'm hopeful to be meeting with relevant people in the near future to see if and what plans they have for Wayne."
Meanwhile, Laffor is reportedly set to extend his stay with Pitso Mosimane's side, although nothing has been agreed. Yet, it seems less clear at this stage what the future holds for Nthethe and Arendse, with no updates given on their situation.
Sundowns claimed their first victory in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday evening against PSL minnows, Polokwane City.
On Saturday, Mosimane's charges shift their focus to the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals against crosstown rivals, Mastastansta.
Kick off is at 18:00.
