Moleko out, Musona doubtful

Cape Town - The Amakhosi take on the Clever Boys in a must-win Absa Premiership encounter on Wednesday if they are to keep pace with log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns - but it seems they may have to go into the game without the 'Smiling Assassin'.

According to the Soccer Laduma website, Knowledge Musona’s situation is a strange one, with the club’s doctors unable to find anything physically wrong with him, though the player himself has explained that he’s feeling pain and is not yet fit.

Kgotso Moleko meanwhile is still feeling the effects of the knock he picked up earlier this month, and is unavailable for selection against Gavin Hunt’s third-placed side.

Defeat for the Amakhosi, who are currently six points adrift of Sundowns, albeit having played two fewer matches, would seriously dent their title aspirations, while even a draw would offer a huge blow to their title-defending chances.

Bidvest Wits have won four of their past five games, while Chiefs, who come into the game on the back of a defeat, have only won two.

Kick-off at the Bidvest Stadium is at 19:30.
