Liverpool hold off Stoke

Liverpool - Liverpool made it through to the last four of the FA Cup after beating Stoke, last season's losing finalists, 2-1 at Anfield.

Luis Suarez gave the Merseysiders a 23rd minute lead after sending a shot past Thomas Sorensen only for former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch to level three minutes later when the England international headed in a corner.

However, England winger Stewart Downing settled the tie in Liverpool's favour when, after cutting in from the right, he struck a powerful shot past Sorensen in the 57th minute to seal a return to Wembley for the League Cup winners.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...
