Jomo Sono to offload players

Johannesburg - Jomo Cosmos are expected to make a number of changes to their squad, following the team’s disastrous season in the NFD.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, although a lot was expected from Cosmos after the club was relegated from the PSL at the end of the 2011/12 season, Ezenkosi struggled in their attempts to make a quick return to the elite league, finishing this 2012/13 NFD campaign in 14th position, just above relegated FC AK and Dynamos respectively.

The club’s boss, Jomo Sono, confirmed to the Siya crew that there will be a number of players leaving the side in preparation of another season in the NFD.

"We will release a number of players that we think cannot add value to the club. We will part ways with around 16 players. We will also have some new faces that we have identified but we will release their names later," said Sono.

Bongani Theletsane, Tshidiso Tukane, Myron Shongwe and Lethola Mofokeng are some of the players that are expected to leave.
