Cape Town - Wolves are on the brink of promotion to the English Premiership thanks to a wonder-goal by midfielder Ruben Neves in a 2-0 win over Derby in the Championship.
Neves scored a brilliant volley from 30 yards out after controlling a half-cleared set-piece before firing a shot in the top corner to double his side's lead.
The win moved the league leaders to 92 points, 11 clear of second-placed Fulham with Nuno Santo's men possibly securing promotion without kicking a ball should Fulham fail to beat Brentford in their next fixture
Derby manager Gary Rowett gave his thoughts on Neves' show-stopper admitting that he came close to applauding the strike.
"It’s the first time as a manager I’ve almost applauded the opposition’s goal," he said.
"I genuinely thought, "What do you do about that?" To hit it with that precision, power, and dip, is Champions League stuff. It is not Championship stuff."
