WATCH: Teams, CR7 take on the #MannequinChallenge

Cape Town - A new craze has swept the internet with everyone from celebrities to sports personalities taking on the Mannequin Challenge to the soundtrack of rap duo, Rae Sremmurd's new single, Black Beatles.

The Mexican and German national teams have taken on the challenge, with Manchester United also getting in on the act.

However Portugal seem to haven broken the internet with their attempt as Cristiano Ronaldo took centre stage.

First up is Ronaldo and the Portuguese national team with their attempt which has received rave reviews and not just for the Real Madrid man.

Here the Mexican national team celebrated a 2-1 win in their first ever victory over the US in a World Cup qualifier:

The United States National women's national team commemorated its final practice session of the year by taking on the challenge:

Finally, Manchester United team-mates Marcos Rashford and Jesse Lingard also got in on the act:
