Cape Town - Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has tipped Niklas Sule to have a "great future" in football after establishing himself in Bayern Munich's starting XI.
Sule has enjoyed an impressive rise in the game and, at 24, he's a regular starter in the Bayern backline for manager Niko Kovac.
The youngster has even started to establish himself in the German national side and featured in their recent outings against both the Netherlands and Northern Ireland.
Liverpool star Van Dijk, who got to see Sule up close during the Netherlands' recent Euro 2020 qualifier, feels the Bayern defender has all the attributes to become one of the best in the business.
"I've been watching Sule's development for a long time," Van Dijk said.
"I've played against him often, he is a very talented defender. Sule has a great future ahead of him. He plays for a big club and is already a cornerstone there."
Sule will be back in Bundesliga action on Saturday when Bayern Munich make the trip to RB Leipzig.
Meanwhile, Liverpool entertain Newcastle United at Anfield in hopes of earning three points and continue their winning streak.
