Ronaldo: 'I can continue playing until I'm 41'

Cape Town - Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo claims that he is set to dominate the game for a long time yet and can see himself playing into his forties.

The 33-year-old whose slow start to the season caused many to question whether his age was finally diminishing his athletic abilities. Ronaldo however scored a remarkable 22 goals in 12 consecutive matches in 2018 as he inspired Madrid to the Champions League final.

"Right now I've got a biological age of 23," the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said. "I’ve still got a long time left, I can keep playing until I’m 41. I’m feeling good, happy, I can’t complain."

The Portuguese also explained his hairstyle after revealing that he receives constant questions from fans about it.

"People ask: 'Why don't you cut the hair? It's a disaster. 'Honest I know it's a disaster but it's my natural hair and it gives me luck, so why would I cut it."

Real Madrid could become the first team in history to lift the Champions League trophy for a third consecutive time when they face Liverpool in the final in Kiev on Saturday.
