Preview: Manchester City v Huddersfield

Cape Town - Manchester City will be hoping for a much improved performance when they host Huddersfield in an FA Cup fifth round replay at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.

The Terriers, currently third in the Championship put in a strong performance when the Citizens visited the John Smith's Stadium just over a week and a half ago, earning a respectable 0-0 draw.

However, they face a much tougher task traveling to the City's home ground with not many people expecting their brave resistance to last much longer.

The Manchester club is in a rich vein of form at the moment, winning five of their last six matches, the only failure coming against Huddersfield themselves and they have been scoring goals at an alarming rate, including five against Monaco in the Champions League and four against West Ham in the Premier League.

It's not all doom and gloom for the visitors, though, who will be driven by the knowledge that they have already held the City juggernaut at bay once and their own good form leading up to the match.

The Terriers have not lost since the middle of January and boast an impressive nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions, seven of which were victories.

Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus remain long-term injury concerns for the hosts, and Raheem Sterling will miss the match through suspension, but Gael Clichy faces a late a fitness test and could play some part in the match.

Huddersfield boast a fully fit squad, but Dean Whitehead, Nahki Wells and Kasey Palmer are all one yellow card away from a domestic suspension, which could play havoc on their promotion plans at this stage of the season if any of them are cautioned.

Kick off is at 21:45.
