Cape Town - Manchester
United play-maker Henrikh Mkhitaryan says they cannot afford to
underestimate Belgian giants Anderlecht in the Europa League
quarter-finals.
The two teams are scheduled to meet at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on Thursday. With the Premier League title out of touch for Jose Mourinho's side, and with their form in the top flight all over the place, winning the Europa League represents possibly their last chance to qualify for the Champions League.
And, having reached that stage with Borussia Dortmund last season, Mkhitaryan said winning their competition ranked high up on his list of priorities.
"It is one of my goals for this season - to win the Europa League," the Armenia international told the club's official website.
"I know it is not going to be easy, particularly at this stage of the competition as they are no easy opponents. Obviously we understand the importance of the tie with Anderlecht in the quarter-finals.
"We know that we are going to have two very tough games and, of course, Anderlecht are not easy opponents. I know this because I have watched some of their games in Europe; they are playing very well and have very good players of high quality."
The action gets underway at 21:05.
