Cape Town - Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac says he is a keen admirer of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp but won't be replicating his style.
The Reds sit top in England and continue to draw plaudits for their style of play, with former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp hoping to guide them to their first Premier League title this season.
Kovac has ruffled a few feathers in recent weeks at Bayern after claiming Eintracht Frankfurt had the best supporters in the German top flight.
His side currently sits second in the Bundesliga table behind Borussia Monchengladbach, and they are unbeaten in their last four matches.
However, Bayern have slipped up on four occasions so far this season, and some fans are not happy as they believe their team should be in the clear, like Liverpool.
Klopp’s men have a six-point advantage at the top of the Premier League table, but Kovac says his side do not have the capabilities to play like the Merseysiders at such a high tempo.
"What Liverpool did yesterday showed that they deserved to win the Champions League, but you also have to have the types of players," he told reporters.
"We must accommodate what we have. You can’t try to go 200 [km/h] on the Autobahn when you can only go 100. You simply must accommodate what we have.
"We have different player types. We must find the right mix, and I find that our Gegenpressing is also good, and, of course, it can always get better."
Bayern return to action on Saturday when they tackle Frankfurt away from home before they then face Olympiakos for the second time in the Champions League.
