Huntelaar eyes more success in Europe with Ajax

Cape Town - Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was delighted to help fire Ajax Amsterdam past Sturm Graz in their Champions League second round qualifier on Wednesday night.

Huntelaar netted a brace at the Merkur Arena either side of a Dusan Tadic goal, with Andre Onana scoring a late own-goal for a 3-1 win.

The four-time European champions secured their progression to the third round of qualifying with a 5-0 aggregate following their 2-0 first leg victory.

After the match, a pleased Huntelaar acknowledged to Ziggo Sport that he put in an impressive display.

The Netherlands international said: "Yes, I played well, but so did the whole team.

"As a striker, you want to score as much and as often as possible. Last match I did not succeed, unfortunately, but this time I did."

He continued: "This is a small success, but we want more. We want even more focus."

Up next for Ajax is a friendly against Bundesliga side Wolfsburg before facing Belgium's Standard Liege in another European tie.
