Geneva - A supporter of Swiss club Lucerne was told by a judge on Wednesday he will serve at least 18 months behind bars after a firework he threw deafened another fan.
The 24-year-old was sentenced to three years and is the first football hooligan to be jailed in Switzerland.
CCTV footage taken during the February 2016 game showed the man had thrown at least four of the fireworks, one of which caused significant hearing loss and required surgery for a 50-year-old spectator.
