Full Report
Leicester may have expected to have the better of the game at home against Championship club Derby, but should have known better after the Rams forced this replay with a 2-2 draw in the first leg.
The visitors went toe-to-toe with their more illustrious opponents once again and arguably had the better of the first half.
However, they were unable to produce a goal and the Foxes burst out the gate after the break with Gray capping off a good team move with a bullet cross to the back post for Marc Albrighton, who nodded the ball down for King to nod in the finishing touch.
However, as was the theme with the dual between these two sides, Derby were soon back in the tie with Camara's free kick took a wicked deflection to wrong-foot Zieler and bring the scores back to 1-1 in the 61st minute.
There was some controversy late on when Matej Vydra was denied a penalty with five minutes left on the clock and the match was forced into extra time.
However, that is where the Rams resistance finally buckled. In the 94th minute, Ndidi was fed by a lovely pass from Riyad Mahrez, before taking the ball up the field and blasting the ball in off the post to score his first goal for the club and what an important one it was.
Twenty minutes later, the tie was all but over when Gray burst into the box and skilled his way past Richard Keogh and Vydra before smashing his side into an unassailable 3-1 lead.
