Dortmund chasing Norwich youngster

Cape Town - Norwich face a battle to keep hold of Simon Power as a host of clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, are showing an interest in him.

The 21-year-old has yet to make an appearance in the City first-team, but that is not stopping clubs from plotting a swoop, following some impressive performances for the Republic of Ireland under-21s.

The Canaries loaned Power out to Dutch side Dordrecht last season and the player recently stated that he would be open to another loan move.

"To be honest, I think I would like to go on loan because when I was in Holland I didn't prove myself enough, I didn't get as many minutes as I'd hoped," he said.

Power helped Ireland's under-21 side reach the semi-finals of the Toulon tournament this summer, with a number of eye-catching displays on the wing, and that has led to reports linking him with Dortmund.

Lyon, PSV Eindhoven and Ajax are also said to be considering a move.
