Del Bosque: Bellerin in if Carvajal drops out

Cape Town - Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque says that Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerín will make the Euro 2016 squad if Real Madrid counterpart Dani Carvajal cannot recover from injury in time.

The 21-year-old Gunner was drafted into the team after Carvajal was picked up a muscular injury in the Champions League final against Atlético Madrid, and started in Sunday's 3-1 friendly win over Bosnia-Herzegovina.

"At the moment, he's in the squad for our next match against South Korea on Wednesday in Salzburg," Del Bosque said of the Barcelona-born right-back.

"What I wish is for Carvajal to recover in time, but I'm prepared for everything. At the moment, Bellerin stays until we see the extent of Carvajal's injury."

"We are waiting for the outcome of several assessments on our injured players. We can only hope the results are good. We have two days until I name my list of 23 players."

The two-time defending European champions are in Group D for the upcoming tournament in France, along with the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Croatia.
