Cape Town - According to reports Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has been revealed as the secret buyer of the world's most expensive car ever made, at R178 million.
The Portugal captain is reported to be the buyer of the most expensive car ever built, a one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire. The car was sold at an auction for R178 million (£9.5 million) including tax.
Only one was built by Bugatti to mark the 110th anniversary of the founding of the car manufacturer.
Bugatti confirmed that the car had been sold with various reports suggesting that the 34-year-old who earns £500 000-a-week at Juventus as the secret buyer.
Ronaldo will however only get a chance to drive the car in 2021 with the company finalising details on the prototype.
