Cape Town - Ivan Rakitic says he is happy at Barcelona and wants to stay, despite reports linking him with a move to Chelsea at the end of the season.
A number of clubs are thought to be interested in the Croatia international, who was a key figure in helping his country reach the final of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Chelsea are known to be interested, while Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen, but the player says he is happy at the Nou Camp.
"Since I've been here I do not know how many times I've left and I'm back," said the Croat after his side's recent Copa del Rey victory over Sevilla.
"I'm more than happy here and my intention is to be here longer. The other day I gave the president a little nudge to see if he would start my renewal."
Rakitic's agent, Arturo Canales, has ruled out the possibility of the midfielder leaving in the summer.
"Ivan leaves Spain in the summer? It's an impossible scenario," he revealed.
