“Guus Hiddink (67), Danny Blind (52) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (37) forms the technical staff of the Dutch team,” read a statement on the Dutch FA’s official website.
Van Nistelrooy, who scored 35 goals in 70 internationals for the Oranje, will work alongside Blind as Hiddink’s right-hand men, with Blind taking over the head coach role after the 2018 World Cup in Russia as part of a predetermined succession plan.
The Dutch have also appointed Patrick Lodewijks as goalkeeper coach, replacing Frans Hoek who has joined former manager Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, while Patrick Kluivert leaves his post as former second-in-command of the national team.
Former Netherlands internationals Pierre van Hooijdonk, Aron Winter, Sonny Silooy and Michael Reiziger have all been appointed in selected coaching rules within the junior ranks of the Dutch national teams.
Head coach Hiddink, who is set to guide the Oranje at the 2016 European Champions in France as well as the next Mundial, is the most successful coach in the Eredivisie, winning six league titles and four cup trophies with PSV Eindhoven.
This will be his second stint in charge of the Netherlands, who he managed between 1995 and 1998, having also previously coached South Korea and Australia as well as European heavyweight clubs Real Madrid and Chelsea.
