Ronaldo buys a Greek Island as a wedding gift

Cape Town - Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo took best man duty to another level  when he bought his agent Jorge Mendes a Greek Island as a wedding present.

On Sunday, one of the most powerful men in football - Mendes - said "I do" and received a Greek Island, among other things as a wedding gift courtesy of Ronaldo, reports the Independent.

Various reports were unable to name the exact island which Ronaldo bought for his friend and agent, but Mendes' gift was likely to cost the Portugal star anything between R41 753 550 and R695 892 500 at the current Rand/Euro exchange rate.

Mendes, who clients include  Jose Mourinho, Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao and Cristiano Ronaldo, has reportedly brokered transfer deals in excess of £1 billion.
