Sydney - Australia will play South Africa in Sydney in their Soccer World Cup farewell game before departing for Brazil, Football Federation Australia said on Monday.
The match will be staged in Sydney on May 26 before the team flies out to Brazil.
The South Africans, who face Brazil in a friendly in Johannesburg this week, failed to qualify for this year's World Cup after hosting the showpiece event in 2010.
FFA also confirmed that the Socceroos will play a warm-up match in Brazil against Croatia on June 6 before their opening World Cup match against Chile seven days later.
