Modric returns to training

Madrid Midfielder Luka Modric has returned to training with Real Madrid for the first time since injuring his left leg three months ago.

The Spanish league leaders confirmed that Modric rejoined his teammates during Thursday's practice session.

Modric hurt his thigh while playing for Croatia against Italy in November and hasn't played since.

The 29-year-old Modric started the season as a first-choice player for coach Carlo Ancelotti.
