Liverpool target signs for Porto

Cape Town – Liverpool target, Cristian Tello, has signed a two-year loan spell with Portuguese side FC Porto.

The Daily Express has reported that Barcelona offered Cristian Tello and Pedro to the Merseyside club at the end of last month.

Tello, 22, started his career at CF Can Rull before moving to Barcelona.

He continued to develop as a player and in 2008 his contract expired where he then signed for Espanyol.

In 2010 he moved back to Barcelona where he played in the Catalans B side and scored 9 goals in 39 appearances.

The forward made his La Liga debut when he replaced Adriano against Villarreal. The following week he was in the starting eleven and scored his first goal against Real Sociedad in the 8th minute.

In 2013 helped Spain secure back-to-back UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
