Juve rule out Pogba sale

Cape Town - Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed there has been plenty of interest in Paul Pogba, but insists the Serie A champions have no intention of selling the midfielder.

The France international is one of the hottest young talents in world football, highlighted by his seven goals and seven assists last term as he helped lead the Old Lady to a third successive Scudetto.

His form has seen the 21-year-old heavily linked with a return to Manchester United, who are believed to be readying a £77m bid to re-sign the player who left Old Trafford for Turin as a free agent in 2012.

However, Marotta has revealed the Italian giants will not entertain any offers for Pogba, who recently penned a new deal which is set to keep him at the Juventus Stadium until 2019.

"Every European club is watching him (Pogba) and been in contact," Football411 quote Marotta as saying.

"However, we want to have a strong team made up of champions. We have an important player in Pogba and we don't have a need to sell him."

United are not the only Premier League team tipped with an interest in Pogba, with Chelsea and Manchester City also believed to be monitoring the playmaker's situation, but the player's agent, Mino Raiola, has hinted it would take nothing short of a staggering transfer fee to secure his client's services.

"He is one of the most expensive players on the market," Raiola told RAI. "Considering his age, he has room for improvement and he is among the best."
