Iceland show minnows how it's done

Reykjavik - Iceland made footballing history on Sunday when they qualified for a major tournament finals for the first time, securing their berth at Euro 2016.

The island nation of barely 330,000 people secured the point they needed to seal qualification for the European Championship in France with a 0-0 draw at home to Kazakhstan in Reykjavik.

That result ensured that they would finish in the top two in qualifying Group A, from which the Czech Republic also secured qualification earlier on Sunday.
