CAF announces final five

Cape Town - CAF has revealed the final five nominees for the 2014 African Football Player of the Year Award.

The initial 25-man shortlist has been reduced to five players as Manchester City and Ivory Coast midfielder gets yet another nomination.

The robust player has been in great form for City and is clear favourite to be crowned African Footballer of the Year for a fourth consecutive time.

The other nominees are Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa from Nigeria, Asamoah Gyan from Ghana and Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon.
