Barca to appeal transfer ban

MADRID, April 02, 2014 (AFP) -Barcelona are to appeal a one-year transfer ban imposed by FIFA on Wednesday the club revealed.

Football's governing body found that the Spanish giants had committed a "serious" breach of rules in the signing of 10 under-age players between 2009 and 2013.

"FC Barcelona will present an appeal to FIFA and if need be will take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport," the club said in a statement released on their website.
