Johannesburg - Banyana Banyana were hoping for a repeat performance against Botswana when the two teams meet in an international friendly in Rustenburg on Saturday.
Botswana were thumped 4-0 in June in Vanderbijlpark and coach Vera Pauw said she hoped to pull off a repeat victory.
"We are ready for the match against Botswana. We have played them before, but this time around we have improved a lot and we hope to show that on the field tomorrow," the former Dutch international said.
"Our objective is to aim for excellence in the build-up, finishing and defence. Every task must be performed to the highest standard."
The women's national team were in the final stages of their preparations for the African Women's Championships (AWC) in Namibia next month.
Banyana have yet to lose a match since the start of their preparations for the AWC which included winning five international friendlies and playing to a goalless draw against Zimbabwe.
Pauw said she was still fine-tuning the team ahead of their opening AWC match against Cameroon on October 12.
"We are capable of creating chances but the team can do better as we head closer to competing at the Championships. We need to be more aggressive in front of goals," she said.
