Cape Town - Nigeria will have Michael Babatunde available for selection for this coming weekend's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan, according to the midfielder's agent.
The Volyn Lutsk playmaker picked up an injury during last month's Ukrainian Cup quarter-final win over Dnipro, while he was rested for the 2-2 league draw against Vorskla on Friday.
That led to reports he will also sit out this coming weekend's AFCON clash, but the player's representative, Makanjuola Mureni, insists that is not the case.
"Michael is not injured and I wonder where these reports are coming from. He suffered a rash challenge from an opponent in their 1-0 cup win over Dnipro and was substituted because he couldn't continue, as he was limping,” Mureni told SL10.
"The next game which was against Vorskla, he wasn't listed because the club thought it best to rest him, instead of risking him, but not because he couldn't have played.”
He continued: "He will join his teammates in the Eagles camp on Monday, he is already in the country. He arrived on Sunday and will join the team.
"I don’t know what time exactly, but I know he will be in the camp on Monday. If he wasn't fit or still injured, his club would not have released him. So he is fit and ready for Sudan."
