Euro clubs after SA star?

Johannesburg - Anele Ngcongca's representatives are said to be working on a transfer for the K.R.C. Genk utility player.

The 23-year-old South African international has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City, MSV Duisburg, Trabzonspor and Istanbul giants Fenerbahce.

According to FotoMac, a Turkish-based publication, Fener have baulked at Genk's exorbitant £3.4million asking price, which has raised doubts over a possible switch for Ngcongca.

Nonetheless, Football365.co.za sources claim that ProSport International, who represent Ngcongca, are still trying to line up a move to Portugal or Turkey for the youngster.

ProSport, whose brand is synonymous with FIFA-accredited agent Mike Makaab, have a number of European-based players on their books, including Fulham's Kagisho Dikgacoi, Maccabi Haifa's Tsepo Masilela, Apollon Limassol's Nasief Morris and FC Twente's Bernard Parker.

Parker is himself on the verge of a move to Leicester City, with the English Championship side having agreed a deal in principle with his current employers.
