Cape Town - West Ham United defender Pablo Zabaleta believes manager Manuel Pellegrini can turn their fortunes around, but the players must believe in his methods.
The Irons spent big in the transfer window to bring in the likes of Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko and Issa Diop.
However, they are yet to produce on the pitch.
Pellegrini's charges are rock bottom of the Premier League standings after four games, having lost against Liverpool, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Zabaleta, who played 106 games under Pellegrini at Manchester City, has urged his team-mates to buy into the Chilean tactician's philosophy.
“You trust in the way he works because of the teams he has worked with before,” Zabaleta told the club's official website.
“The thing for Manuel is that for the first time maybe he doesn't have the same quality in the team like he had before.
“So maybe it will take more time than at other clubs for him to get everything right.
“At Manchester City there was so much quality, we won games easily.
“Here it's not the same. But he's a great man, a good manager and will try to find the best way to get the results.”
