Cape Town - Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi believes Pep Guardiola will influence Manchester City in such a way that it will revolutionise the English Premier League.

Guadriola is widely considered as the greatest managers around due to his incredible trophy laden spells at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Xavi, who was an integral part of the Spaniard's success with the Blaugrana, feels the 45-year-old will bring a knowledge of football to the English game that will be adapted by all.

"Pep improved us all, he teaches you what is important and why," the former Spain midfielder told Marca.

"In addition, his understanding of the game is mirrored by Barcelona. He has been the most influential person in world football in the last 10 years.

"If anyone can change the dynamics of English football, it's Guardiola. He is and influential, obsessive perfectionist. Manchester City will learn a lot with him and will in a few months begin to enjoy their football as they learn the style."
