Cape Town - English Premier League side West Ham United are close to signing Valencia's Sofiane Feghouli on a free transfer, according to French newspaper L'Equipe.
The versatile Algerian forward is out of contract at the end of this month and L'Equipe sources indicate that a deal with the Hammers could be done in the next few days.
The 26-year-old is expected a sign a three-year deal with West Ham, who clinched a seventh-place finish in the 2015/16 Premier League campaign and are poised to play at the new Olympic Stadium next season.
Several top clubs showed interest in Feghouli, including Sevilla, Villarreal, Inter Milan, Manchester United and Fenerbahce, but it seems West Ham have won the race.
Feghouli made 136 appearances for Valencia since joining the La Liga club in 2010, while he also has 40 caps with Algeria.
