Werder concede West Ham target may leave

Cape Town - Werder Bremen assistant general manager Frank Baumann admits Austria playmaker Zlatko Junuzovic may leave the club.

Das Team were knocked out at the group stages of Euro 2016 this week, but Junuzovic's performances have attracted interest from Premier League duo Southampton and West Ham.

The 28-year-old midfielder impressed for Die Werderaner despite their struggles in the league this past season, scoring four goals and contributing 13 assists in 30 games.

With only one year left on his current deal, Werder legend Baumann concedes that Junuzovic's stay may come to an abrupt end.

"The later a decision is made on Zlatko, the more expensive it becomes (for us)," Baumann told Bild.

"The longer we have in preparation (for his exit) the more accurately we can look at whether it will pay off to let him go."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
