Cape Town - Arsene Wenger has rubbished suggestions that defender Hector Bellerin could be on his way to Barcelona.
The Spanish giants have been in the market for a new right-back ever since Dani Alves moved to Juventus last summer
Bellerin has been long been linked with a return to Barcelona - where he began his career in the youth ranks - while reports in Spain earlier this week suggested that a £35million move for the 21-year-old was being planned.
However, Wenger gave little credence to the speculation after equally brushing off talk of assistant coach Boro Primorac joining Konyaspor.
The Gunners boss stressed that Bellerin only penned a new long-term contract at Arsenal in November, which will keep him at the Emirates until 2022.
“We have just extended the contract,” said Wenger.
“He has an unbelievable number of years to go. It's very difficult to take these things seriously.”
The Gunners next host in-form Premiership champions Leicester City to the Emirates Stadium in a league clash on Saturday.
kick off is at 19:00.
