We deserved more against Bournemouth says Ranieri

Leicester - Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes his side deserved more from their match against Bournemouth after they were beaten 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium.

The Foxes were poor in the first half and allowed the Cherries to take the lead through Marc Pugh in the 34th minute. However, they were much improved after the break and Ranieri feels they were unfortunate not to find at least an equaliser.

"The result is too severe against us because we created more chances than Bournemouth but they won so well done to them," he told Sky Sports.

"I wanted a little more in the first half because if we had a little more we could have scored a goal. We could have recovered more second balls for this reason. The second half was much better.

"They scored in the first half and that went with serve. We made some mistakes but it's OK, the team is alive.

"It's not a step back. The result is, yes, but it's important to continue to play with intensity, shape and attitude we did.

"We want to be consistent, it's not possible but now we go back at home and we are ready to fight Saturday."

Leicester next face a trip to the Britannia Stadium where they face Mark Hughes' Stoke City.

Kick off is at 17:00.
